Mac and Cheese in the News

Two Oakland women who wanted to open a mac and cheese restaurant found that their plans were thwarted by fast-food giant McDonald's. The women wanted to call their restaurant "Little Mac" - you know, as in mac and cheese. Apparently McDonald's, however, "owns all variations of the prefix 'Mc' or 'Mac'." This seems a little ridiculous; on the bright side, though, the owners are taking advantage of the situation by holding a contest to name the restaurant. The winner will receive a lifetime supply of mac and cheese! Sounds pretty good to me; I wish I lived closer to Oakland.
